PVI - A GROWING FOUNDATION - Do you see value in veterans? Veterans have been the driving force behind one of the largest organizations this world has ever seen - The Department of Defense. They have dealt with problems on a scale most of us can't even comprehend. At Power, we see that value and are using it to grow and solidify our business.

FROM VETERAN TO VETERANS:

3 TIPS ON TURNING YOUR LIFE AROUND WHEN LIFE KICKS YOU TO THE CURB

AT POWER I’VE NOT ONLY FOUND CAMARADERIE LIKE I EXPERIENCED IN THE MILITARY, BUT ALSO GET TO LIVE EVERY DAY WITH AN INCREASED SENSE OF PURPOSE.
— CLAYTON STILL, DIRECTOR OF MILITARY AFFAIRS

PURPOSE: Finding purpose and camaraderie after leaving the military is possible if you know where to look. Discover how Power's Regional Director of Military Affairs, Clayton Still found his second family in a civilian career.

CONTINUED SERVICE: At Power, we understand that balancing a thriving career while continuing your military service can feel like you're being pulled between two worlds. Our veteran employees, like National Guard Reservist James Boscia, have found that the gulf between these two worlds is made smaller at Power.

I WANT TO LEAVE BEHIND A LEGACY THAT INSPIRES OTHERS TO BE ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED WITH LIVING. NOT WITH LIFE BECAUSE THAT IS TRANSIENT, BUT RATHER THE ART OF LIVING AND HOW TO DO IT BEAUTIFULLY.
— James Boscia, DIRECTOR OF MILITARY AFFAIRS

NEVER DOUBT THAT A SMALL GROUP OF THOUGHTFUL, COMMITTED CITIZENS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD; INDEED, IT’S THE ONLY THING THAT EVER HAS.
— MARGARET MEAD

LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT: It's not a new idea, but it is a powerful one. Imagine applying it to every person, place or situation we encounter. These veterans decided to do more than imagine. They decided to put that idea into action.

BONDS THROUGH ADVERSITY: Veterans are one of the most underutilized assets in our nation. They embody determination, selflessness, and above all else, a commitment to their team. See how a group of veterans worked to instill those same values in their civilian counterparts.

VETERANS SHIFTING THE NARRATIVE: Veterans are broken. They are unstable and can't integrate into the corporate sector. For too long, this has been the story surrounding veterans. We mean to change that and we need your help to do so. Watch this video, share it with your network, and help us change the narrative around veterans.

FAR FROM GOOD MEN: A Marine’s Path to Mentorship
Brantley "Top" Friend struggled early in life with a lack of strong male mentors. That struggle eventually turned into a love of mentoring others, which included his Marines, his coworkers, and most importantly, his four adorable children. Brantley is one of many examples of veterans who have turned struggles into strength.

MEMORIAL DAY: Memorial Day is a chance for us to honor the men and women who gave their lives so we may enjoy the freedoms our country has to offer. We do that not only by taking a moment to solemnly reflect on their sacrifices, but also by living our lives to the fullest in gratitude for the opportunity they have given us.

VETX 2017: Power teamed up with the Philadelphia Union League Veterans Initiative to host the inaugural VetX Leadership Summit featuring the Executive Directors and Presidents from key veteran organizations like Travis Manion Foundation, Student Veterans of America, Bunker Labs PHL, and Got Your Six, who are innovating veteran engagement. Here is a sneak peek.

HIRING HEROES: Hire Heroes USA and Power Home Remodeling are partnering to give veterans the tools to thrive as they transition into civilian careers. Visit us at powerhrg.com/pvi to get involved and learn more!

HOUSTON: RISING FROM THE STORM: After Houston bore the devastating impacts of Hurricane Harvey, we sent a team to capture the response of our Power family in Houston. While the selfless response of our team was inspiring, it was the heart of this remarkable city that unified us all.

WE ARE NOT BROKEN: Is finding success, camaraderie, and purpose after serving in the military possible? Just ask the veterans thriving at Power. These gritty individuals are taking ownership of their careers and changing the narrative around veterans in the workplace. You can too.
